The D250S Dual refines all DC sources including alternators and solar power, to perfectly match the amount of charge the battery requires whilst minimising charge time. The D250S Dual is a 20A multi-step charger that automatically adjusts the charging voltage and current according to the battery state of charge and temperature to ensure that the battery is safely optimised for performance. The D250S DUAL automatically selects the best connected DC energy source (of 2, alternator or solar) for the purpose and switches between these energy sources to achieve high efficiency multi-stage charging.

Charging automatically starts as soon as DC energy is provided to the charger, such as from alternators when a vehicle is started or from solar panels when connected. When Solar is connected the CTEK D250S operates as a MPPT Solar regulator. The D250S also has a temperature sensor which ensures optimal charging voltages at all temperatures. The CTEK D250S incorporates a Voltage Sensing Relay (VSR), therefore, when your battery drops to 12.5v the VSR will automatically isolate and protect your starting battery from discharging, leaving you a full charge start your vehicle at all times.

CTEK Sweden have devised a simple solution for using your CTEK D250S Dual with a smart alternator. By including a 30A automotive relay into your system, you can successfully install a CTEK D250S Dual into your modern vehicle with a smart alternator.

The CTEK D250S Dual DC-DC charger will charge, condition and maintain your dual battery system, with the ability to charge from both your alternator while your vehicle is running, and your solar panels while your vehicle is turned off. The relay is designed to go between these two power sources and your CTEK D250S Dual, and is activated by vehicle ignition. Allowing the CTEK D250S Dual to work with a smart alternator.
