The Katadyn MyBottle Water Purification system is a drinking bottle with a virus filter to provide safe drinking water. It enables the purification of drinking water without the need for pumping, chemicals or batteries. It is designed for use with untreated fresh water sources, such as lakes, rivers and streams. It also provides protection against waterborne pathogens that may be present in the tap water of foreign countries. Designed for personal use it is ideal for small quantities, such as when camping, hiking, travelling or playing sport.
The Katadyn MyBottle water purification system water bottle utilizes a multi-stage filtration system. The first stage pre-filter removes bacteria and protozoa as well as particles larger than 0.3 microns. The second stage is the 3-layer ViruPur filter that absorbs viruses and the smallest particles. The third stage is a carbon postfilter that reduces organic contaminants and unpleasant taste and odours. The filter cartridge capacity is up to 100 Litres depending on water quality.
The water bottle has a capacity of 800ML or 560ML when the filter cartridge is inside. The bottle has handy fill measurements marked on the outside. It features a cushioned mouth-piece for easy drinking which folds flat to prevent leaking. There is also a straw for use when drinking treated safe water.
The bottle weighs approximately 260g and the size is 26.5cm high x 8cm diameter. This pack contains the water bottle, straw and Virupur Microbial Water Purification Cartridge.
